Christine Lauridsen Sand maintains an active Des Moines, Iowa community presence, while leading the Lauridsen Group (LGI). Originally founded in 1916 as a creamery, today her company is known for dairy and protein ingredients used by food, animal feed, aquaculture, and companion animal companies worldwide. Christine Lauridsen actively engages with LGI team members in areas such as business strategy, HR, and science-driven research.

Christine Lauridsen earned her BS at Cornell University and completed an MBA at Harvard Business School. She began her career as an analyst with William Blair, and joined her present family-owned company in 2005. Having served as a Barcelona, Spain-based business development associate, she has overseen growth pathways spanning joint ventures and acquisitions both at home and abroad.

A strong presence in her local community, Christine Lauridsen Sand set up an endowment in perpetuity for the United Way of Central Iowa with her husband, Rob. She has also supported her father, a graduate of the Culver Academies, in the dedication of the Lauridsen Barrack, which houses 72 cadets during the academic year, as well as the summer naval band.
